Leader sues Facebook for patent infringement
Nov.19, 2008 - Leader today filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Facebook, Inc. of Palo Alto, CA. The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for Delaware and alleges that Facebook infringes Leader's U.S. Patent No. 7,139,761. The company seeks damages and an injunction for willful infringement. Chairman Mike McKibben says, "We have taken the steps necessary to protect our proprietary and inventive ideas."
